Providers face a multitude of challenges in contracting, particularly in the large variation among payers and lines of business. Commercial populations typically involve a different set of challenges compared to a Medicare Advantage population, and each payer has their own version of contracting. All of these considerations must be addressed by providers, both from a fee-for-service perspective as well as value-based.
